House System
At Sundargarh Public School, students are divided into four houses: EDISON, NEWTON, EINSTEIN, and RAMAN. The House System is a service-oriented training organization designed to promote leadership, teamwork, and overall student development.
Objectives of the House System:

To promote the welfare and holistic development of students.

To foster a strong student-teacher relationship.

To encourage self-discipline and responsibility.

To instill a sense of school spirit and pride.
-
To develop management, organizational, and leadership skills.
Each house is led by two guide teachers and one student house captain, who coordinate and guide house activities.
Responsibilities of Each House (on a rotational basis):

Organize the morning assembly.

Prepare and share three news items covering national and international sports events, along with a “Thought for the Day”.

Deliver the Thought for the Day in a short speech during assembly.

Monitor and record late comers in the register.

Maintain the general cleanliness of the school premises.

Ensure students are in proper uniform and maintain personal grooming (e.g., nails).

Maintain discipline during school functions and events.

Take pride in their house and actively work to uphold its traditions and values.
The House System encourages teamwork, discipline, and leadership, while creating a vibrant and supportive school environment where every student can excel.
